The second Aspen performance of “Gwyneth Goes Skiing” will run from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Jan. 16 at the Wheeler Opera House, located at 320 E Hyman Ave.
After sold-out shows in London, Edinburgh, New York, Los Angeles, and Park City, it’s Aspen’s turn to witness the story of a Hollywood icon and retired optimist, who collide once on the slopes of Deer Valley in 2016 and again in court in 2023. It is written and performed by Linus Karp and Joseph Martin, with original songs by Leland (RuPaul, Troye Sivan, Cher), and featuring a special video appearance by Trixie Mattel. It’s being touted as a “high-camp courtroom musical” that transforms the Wheeler Opera House into a “snow-speckled spectacle of queer joy.” For more information, visit wheeleroperahouse.com/calendar.
