As we wait for the upcoming Galaxy S23 series to uncover what’s new in One UI 5.1, Samsung keeps bringing the One UI 5.0 update to more devices released last year. The low-cost Galaxy A13 (LTE) is now getting the Android 13 update in the USA.

The update is available for the carrier LTE variant (SM-A135U) and includes the November 2022 security patch. The 5G carrier-locked model already received One UI 5.0 in December.

Galaxy A13 (LTE) users can identify the update by firmware version A135USQU2BVL4. The official firmware files are available for download from our website. Or you can open the Settings app on your phone, access “Software update,” and tap “Download and install” to try to trigger the update notification.

Android 13 is the first major update for the Galaxy A13

The Galaxy A13 shipped with Android 12, which makes One UI 5.0 its first big firmware update. In general, One UI 5.0 appears to be focused on better optimization, so you might get a better experience out of your Galaxy A13 once you apply the update.

You should also have access to a new lock screen customization menu, stacked widgets, and a new “Connected devices” menu inside the Settings app. And if you’re a fan of the color palette option that lets you personalize the colors of your UI, One UI 5.0 expands on this system with additional features. However, since this is the Galaxy A13 and not a flagship phone, you may not get every One UI 5.0 feature available.
