Samsung Galaxy A52 5G’s unlocked version finally gets Android 13 update in the US

Two months ago, Samsung released the Android 13 update to the Galaxy A52 5G’s carrier-locked version in the US. The update was also released around the same time in Europe. The company is now releasing the Android 13 update to the Galaxy A52 5G’s unlocked variant in the US.

The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy A52 5G’s unlocked version comes with firmware version A526U1UEU7DWA2. The update is rolling out in the US on all carrier networks, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, Comcast, Cricket, C-Spire, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon. Unfortunately, the update doesn’t include the January 2023 security patch for the smartphone. The device is still running the December 2022 security patch that was released last month.

If you are a Galaxy A52 5G user in the US with an unlocked version of the device, you can download and install the Android 13 update on the device by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database, and then flash it manually. However, we only recommend this solution to those who are well-versed in the manual flashing process.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A52 5G with Android 11-based One UI 3 onboard. The device received the Android 12-based One UI 4 update last year and the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update now. It will get two more Android OS updates in the future.
