Yesterday, Samsung released the June 2023 security update to the Galaxy S22 series in European countries. Today, the company has released the new security update to the Galaxy S22 in the Latin American region. Other regions, including Asia and North America, could also get the new update soon.

The latest software update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra bumps up the device firmware version to S90xEXXS5CWE7. The update includes the June 2023 security patch that fixes over 60 security vulnerabilities found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The update doesn’t bring any new features or performance improvements. The update is currently available in Bolivia, Mexico, and Paraguay. Other Latin American countries could get the update within the next few days.

If you have a Galaxy S22 series phone and if you live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can now check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows PC and the Odin tool.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 series early last year with Android 12 onboard. The devices in the lineup received the Android 13 update late last year and are expected to get the Android 14 update later this year. The phones will get two additional Android OS updates after Android 14.
